It's Been a Minute

 Hello! I know that it's been a while since I've posted here, but I recently got a job at Screen Rant and life has been kinda crazy. I've started writing for fun again though, and I feel like I have some stuff that I should be able to post kind of soon? I've been thinking about why I like and want to write fiction lately, so I think that might have affected my writing a bit, so don't be too surprised if it seems like I'm aiming for a younger demographic. I remembered that fiction did more than let me escape reality. It genuinely improved, and continues to improve, my life. Reading made me feel smarter, even if I was as dumb as a pile of bricks sometimes. It made me think that my overactive imagination was a good thing. It made me feel as if I wasn't alone. Reading honestly helped me get through some of the toughest parts of my life when I was younger (and honestly, still going through a few rough patches, so thanks reading!), so I want to be able to do for others what was done for me. I want to be able to craft interesting worlds and characters that younger people can lean on to make themselves feel better, even when the world gets kinda messy. To that extent, here are some minor hints about my next post. 

It's about a middle schooler named Aiden Pierce. His life isn't too weird. The only real thing he can complain about is his bad luck. Like, broke a REALLY nice mirror bad. When his bad luck gets him sent home though, he stumbles upon something that makes him reconsider things. After all, compared to what he finds, maybe what happened in class can actually be considered not so bad?

This story takes some reference from my other longer piece on here, which I ended up deciding not to keep working on. It'll have a good amount of fantasy and will hopefully be interesting for people of any age, though it'll be interesting trying to write from a younger perspective. That being said though, I'm not too sure when I'll post it, but it shouldn't be long. It WILL be a rough draft though, as will most things on this blog. I kind of just want to get a story out, even if it's ugly. I'll still go over it a bit, but don't hate me if it has a few errors, or some poor wording. (Feel free to let me know though! Would love to hear other opinions). That being said, talk to ya later.

Narrative Game 13

A Revenge Not So Sweet The new augment makes getting to the braided up Gorgon much easier, but it isn't until Stheno is in range of your turrets that you understand its true value, as the massive braid unwinds and you are facing countless giant snake heads. *Using your wing augments, you slip between the countless heads, moving your ship as if its your own body. During your dance, you notice that a few of the heads are already burnt and can't seem to move as well. Remembering what Trion says, you realize that this must be Roland's work. Suddenly, your vision seems to go red, and you not only weave through the heads with unparalleled precision, but you also begin to fire your blaster turrets non-stop, targeting the weak points your friend left behind. Stheno's many heads screech in agony and try to strike out in waves, some even detaching before chasing you for a bit. Narrative Game 9

 Euryale- The Far Springer Still recovering from the first cry, you begin to fly towards the source. Looking back, you hope that Sam and Ga'Rook will be okay, but then you see the massive Gorgon in front of you and realize that you might be the one in trouble. This Gorgon, codenamed Euryale, is easily the size of a small moon, and it looks more like a cavernous, floating pit of fangs than a snake. Its scales look deadly pale, and if it weren't for its eyes, massive yellow slits that follow your every twist and turn, you might have thought it had died long ago. (This point in the chapter applies to protecting the North) Matching its hungry gaze, you adjust your path to engage and soon begin firing. At first it seems as if there's no reaction. Its scales and teeth are too durable to penetrate, but, when a stray blast hits it in the eye, another scream tells you that there's a chance.
